Toplumsal açıdan cemaatler; sadece dayanışma ve birlikteliğin simgesi değil, aynı zamanda değişimler karşısında koruyucu kimliği sürdüren temel yapılardır. Tarihsel süreçte Türk Toplumundaki cemaatlerin söz konusu koruyucu özelliği din çerçevesinde gelişmiş ve milletleşme, ümmetleşmenin gerisinde kalmıştır. Bu farklılaşma sonucunda birbirini desteklemesi gereken bu iki kavram birbirinden ayrılmış, birbiriyle yarışır hale gelmiştir.Bu araştırmada, cemaatleşme olgusunun -tarihsel perspektifte olmak kaydıyla- çevreden merkeze yönelik eğilimleri incelenecektir.

In sociological perspective gemeinschafts are not only the symbol of solidarity and togetherness but also the main structure against the social changings. In historical process the protective feature of the gemeinschafts in Turkish Society developed around religion and nationalism lost prestige against ummah ideology. This differentiation separates ideology of nationalism and ummah, what should be support each other. In this research phenomenon of gemeinschaft will be analyzing by chronological and radially.
