Sigara içen ve içmeyen kişilerde süperoksid dismutaz, glutatyon redüktaz, ferritin ve hemoglobin düzeylerinin araştırılması

Bu çalışma hiç sigara ve alkol kullanmamış 16 sağlıklı bayan ve 16 sağlıklı erkek olmak üzere 32 olgu kontrol grubunu ve ortalama 10 sene 20 tane / gün sigara kullanan ve hiç alkol kullanmamış 16 sağlıklı bayan ve 15 sağlıklı erkek olmak üzere 31 olgu çalışma grubunu oluşturmuş olup toplam 63 yetişkin kişi üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Olguların glutatyon redüktaz (GSH-Red.), süperoksid dismutaz (SOD), hemoglobin (Hb) ve serum ferritin düzeyleri ölçüldü. İstatistiksel analiz sonucu sigara içen erkeklerde kendi kontrol grubuna göre GSH-Red. ve ferritin düzeylerinde önemli olmayan bir azalma (sırasıyla p>0,5, p>0,4) görülürken SOD düzeyinde artma (p>0,5) görülmüştür. Hb düzeylerinde ise önemli bir fark bulunamamıştır. Sigara içen bayanlarda ise kendi kontrol grubuna göre GSH-Red. düzeyinde istatistiksel olarak bir farklılık gözlenemezken, Hb düzeyleri ise önemli oranda yüksek (p0,5, p>0,4) görülmüştür.

The investigation of superoxide dismutase, glutathion reductase, ferritin and hemoglobin levels in smokers and non-smokers

This study was conducted on 32 people as treatment group, 16 of whom are healty females and 16 healty males who had not taken any alcohol and smoked any cigarettes and on 31 people as control group, 16 of whom are females and 15 males who had smoked 20 cigarettes a day but not taken any alcohol. In the study, 63 people were involved totally. Superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathion reductase (GSH-Red.), ferritin and hemoglobin (Hb) levels were determined in smokers and non-smokers. In the statiscal analysis, while there was an insignificant decrease in the GSH-Red. and ferritin levels (p>0,5 and p>0,4, respectively) of male smokers, compared to their control counterparts and there was an insignificant increase on their SOD levels (p>0,5). There was no significant difference in the Hb levels between treatment and control groups. When female smokers were compared with their control counterparts, there was no significant difference in GSH-Red. levels. The Hb levels were found to be statistically higher (p<0,025) in the treatment group than control group. In the ferritin and SOD levels there was an insignificant decrease (p>0,5 and p>0,4, respectively) in the treatment group.
