Bıldırcınlarda gaga kesimi uygulamasının besi performansı üzerine etkileri

Bu araştırmada Japon bıldırcınlarında (Coturnix coturnix japonica) gaga kesimi uygulamasının yaşama gücü, canlı ağırlık ve yem değerlendirme oranı gibi besi performansına ilişkin özellikler üzerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Toplam 320 adet bıldırcın rasgele olarak ikiye ayrılmış ve bu gruplardan birisine 14 günlük yaşta gaga kesimi uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak bıldırcınlarda gaga kesimi uygulamasının 6. hafta sonu canlı ağırlığı ve yem değerlendirme oranı üzerinde önemli düzeyde bir etkisinin olmadığı (P>0.05), deneme grubunda gaga kesimini izleyen hafta içerisinde strese bağlı ölümler meydana geldiği görülmüştür.

Effect of beak trimming on fattening performance in quails

In this research it was investigated effects of beak trimrning on fattening performance characteristics such as livability, live weight and feed conversion rate in Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica). Totally 320 quails were divided into two groups and one of these groups were debeaked at 14 days of age. in conclusion it was observed debeaking of quails had no significant effect on sixth week live weight and feed conversion rate and deaths were seen in trial group at following week of debeaking application.
