Yumurtalık Koyu'ndaki (Adana) küçük pisi balıklarında (Arnoglossus laterna Walbaum,1792) üreme

Yumurtalık Koyu'ndaki küçük pisi balığının (Arnoglossus laterna) üreme özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla, Ekim 1997-Haziran 1998 tarihleri arasında trol avcılığı ile aylık örnekleme yoluyla elde edilen 397 adet birey incelenmiştir, incelen bireylerin %46.60'nı dişiler %54.40'nı ise erkekler oluşturmuştur. Gonadosomatik indeks (GSI) ve Fulton'un Kondisyon Faktörü (K) değerlerinin aylık değişimlerinden, bu balıkların üremelerini Şubat'tan başlayarak, Haziran ayına kadar olan dönemde gerçekleştirdikleri; ilk eşeysel olgunluk boyunun erkeklerde 6.6 cm iken, dişilerde 6.7 cm olduğu; olgun yumurta çaplarının 0.45 ile 0.62 mm arasında ve yıllık ortalama yumurta verimliliklerinin (Fekondite) ise, 11932±1250 olduğu saptanmıştır.

Reproduction of the scaldfish (Arnoglossus laterna Walbaum,1792) from the Yumurtalık Bight (Adana)

This study was performed for the identification of reproductive peculiarities of the scaldfish (Arnoglossus laterna) from, the Yumurtalık Bight. For this purpose, 3.97 individiuals were obtained by using deep trawl monthly sampling in between of October 1997-June 1998, and examined. Females made up %46.60 and males %56.60 of the specimens. By using the montly changes in the mean values of the Gonadosomatic Index (GSI) and Fulton's Condition Factor (K), it was found that reproduction period was conducted from February to June; length at first maturity was 6.6 cm and 6.7 cm for males and females respectively. Roe diameter was between 0.45 and 0.62 mm and mean annual fecundity were also found as 11932+1250.
