The purpose of this study was to test the validityand reliability of the Turkish version ofSport Mental Toughness Questionnaire-SMTQ-14.Ninenty four females (Mage=20.41?2.84), 108 males(Mage =22.53?4.40) totally 202 athletes(Mage =21.49?3.86) voluntarly participated in thisstudy. SMTQ-14 is 14 item instruments which havethree subscales (Confidence, Control and Constancy).Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factoranalysis were used to test validity and reliabilityof questionnaire. Three factor loadings explained%54.58 of SMTQ. Internal consistency coefficientsof SMTQ were found for confidence 0.84, for control0.79 and for constancy 0.51. Confirmatory factoranalysis revelead that x2/df=1.98, GFI=0.90, CFI=0.91,RMR=0.04, SRMR=0.07, RMSEA=0.07, IFI=0.91,TLI=0.88 of SMTQ. It can be concluded that, Turkishversions of SMTQ is used to assess mental toughnessin sport environment.
