Spora yönelik sosyalizasyon süreci: Lise öğrencileri üzerine bir uygulama

Bu araştırmanın amacı lise öğrencilerinin spora yönelik sosyalizasyon süreçlerinde sosyalizasyon ajanlarından ailenin ve arkadaşların rolünün belirlenmesidir. Araştırma Ankarada bulunan altı lisede okuyan 539 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan ve öğrencilerin demografik bilgilerini belirlemeye yönelik sorular ile birlikte öğrencilerin spor yapma ve spora yönelme durumlarına ilişkin sorular bulunan bir soru kağıdı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerin analizinde frekans ve yüzde dağılımlarının yanı sıra, öğrencilerin spor yapma durumları ile arkadaş ortamında spor yapan birinin varlığı, ailede spor yapan birinin varlığı, annenin eğitim durumu ve babanın eğitim durumu arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek üzere ki-kare analizi yapılmıştır. Bununla birlikte, spor yapmayı yordayan değişkenlerin belirlenmesi için ki-kare analizi yapılan değişkenlerin dahil edildiği İkili Lojistik Regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular, lise öğrencilerinin spor yapmasında ailenin ve arkadaşların etkili birer sosyalizasyon ajanı olduklarını ortaya koymuştur.

Socialization into sport process: An application to high school students

The aim of this paper was to investigate the roles of family and friends, which are among the main socialization agents, on the socialization into sport process. The study was conducted with 539 students in six high schools at Ankara. A questionnaire prepared by the researchers was used to gather data. The questionnaire consisted of questions to got information on the demographic characteristics, sport participation and sport orientation features of students. In data analyzing process besides the frequency and percentage distributions, chi-square analysis was used to identify the relationships between sport participation and having a family member and friends who do sports as well, and between sport participation and education levels of the parents. Binary Logistic Regression analysis was also used to determine the variables which may had effect on sports participation. As a result this study indicated that family and friends are effective socalizing agents on sports participation of high school students.
