The stress intensity factors in a transversely isotropic infinitely layer contains ring shaped crack

In this study the elastic problem for a finite tihckness elastic-perfectly plastik transversely isotropic layer containing a ring shaped crack is anlyzed. The problem is reduced to a singular integral equation by using Hankel transform technique. The dominant part of the governing equation has a simple logarithmic type (Cauchy type) singularity. For obtaining stress intensity factors, this integral equation is solved by using numerical solution technique. The results for different transversely isotropic materials were given.
