Rezin esasl kök kanal dolgular ile birlikte total-etch adeziv kullanmnn apikal szntya etkisi

Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate the apical leakage of the canals obturated with resin based sealers with and without a total-etch adhesive. Materials and Methods: The crowns of forty extracted human teeth with single canals were removed at the CEJ allowing access to the canals. The canals were instrumented with 04 tapered Profiles and specimens divided into four groups. Grup1: AH Plus and gutta percha was used for obturation Grup 2: EndoREZ and gutta percha was used for obturation. Grup 3: Bond it was applied to canal walls, AH Plus and gutta percha was used for obturation. Grup 4: Bond it was applied to canal walls, EndoREZ and gutta percha was used for obturation. After storing the samples in 100% humidity at 37°C for one week, apical leakage was measured using a fluid filtration testing method. Dentin-Filling adaptation was analysed with SEM. One way ANOVA and TUKEY tests were used for the statistical analysis. Results: Statistically a significant difference was found among the mean leakage values of the groups. AH Plus group demonstrated much more leakage than AH Plus+Bond-it and EndoREZ+Bondit groups (p<0.05). Additionally, AH Plus+Bond-it group was statistically different from EndoREZ group (p<0.05). Conclusion: In the conditions of this study, using a total-etch adhesive in root canal obturation with resin based sealers reduced apical microleakage but did not completely prevent leakage.
