Depth in Miniature

Depth, in miniature painting, rather exhibits positions of elements and spaces of units. This structure does not allow to conceive the design principles as a way to perceive and see visual reality. When this is evaluated with the reality approach, which forms the infrastructure of miniature painting, it could be said that using "known reality" plays a more important role rather than using "apparent reality" in composing a miniature painting. Thus, in the art of miniature painting, there emerges a depiction of knowledge concerning the expressions of "what is known" about the practical ambience; and in this way the painter tends to depict the "known reality" rather than depicting the "apparent reality" of the space.
