Bu çalışmanın amacı, sağlık çalışanlarının olay raporlamaya karşı tutumları ve hastanelerdeki olay raporlamanın hasta güvenliğine etkisini incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, sağlık çalışanlarının olay raporlama konusundaki algıları ve olay raporlama faaliyetinin hasta güvenliğine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Özellikle hastanelerdeki olay raporlama uygulamaları, güvenli sağlık bakım sonuçlarına erişme açısından önemlidir. Bu aynı zamanda hasta bakımını iyileştirme ve hataları azaltma gibi ek amaca sahip olan sağlık kuruluşları için zorunluluktur. Dolayısıyla olay raporlama, sağlık hizmetlerinin değerlendirilmesi, hatalı süreç ve uygulamaların belirlenmesi ve güvenli bakım verilmesinde temel anahtar olarak dikkate alınması gereken önemli bir konudur. Analiz sonuçları, olay raporlama faaliyetinin hasta güvenliği üzerinde belirleyici etkiye sahip olduğu ve çalışanların olay raporlama konusundaki algısının ne olumlu nede olumsuz yani orta düzeyde olduğunu göstermektedir

This study aim is to analyze health workers attitudes towards event reporting and to investigate effects of event reporting to patient safety in hospital. With this aim in mind, the level of employees perception of on event reporting, and event reporting in hospitals effects to patient safety have been surveyed. Especially event reporting applications in hospital are important for the purpose of achieving safety health care outcomes. This is also obligation for healthcare organizations that have the additional goals of improving patient care and decreasing medical errors. So event reporting is important issue have to be taken in consideration for patient safety as it is the main key for health-care in assessment, identifying error of implementations and processing and delivery of safety care. The results of analyses showed that there is significant effect of event reporting activity on the patient safety and the level of employees perception of on event reporting is neither a positive nor the negative level that is the middle level
