RAMAN APPLICATIONS IN MEDICINE AND FORENSIC SCIENCE

Raman Spectroscopy (RS) is a technique based on inelastic scattering of monochromatic beam from the laser source. RS is a method which requires no sample preparation, only a small sample is sufficient for measurements and do not damage the sample. RS has proven to be a versatile and effective analytical technique in a variety of forensic applications. RS is used to determine biological fluids and the presence of organic and inorganic compounds. İn addition, RS is used to determine the chemical compositions of human tissue, for blood metabolites and therapeutic drugs for chemical measurements, for clinical diagnosis and quantitative analysis of biological samples and in many studies
