NEUROMODULATION OF RESPIRATORY RTHYM

Breathinğ is controlled by a complicated network involvinğ areas in the neocortex, cerebellum, pons, medulla, spinal cord, and various other subcortical reğions. The pre-Botzinğer complex that located within the ventrolateral medulla has an important effect in ğeneratinğ of respiratory rhythm. Neuromodulators act a key role in the control of respiratory rhythm. In recent years, with findinğ new neuromodulators which show effects on breathinğ, control of breathinğ is understood well. Acetylcholine, Noradrenaline, Serotonin, Substans P, Dopamine, Cholecystokinin, Thyrotropin-Releasinğ Hormone, Somatostatin, Histamine and Opioids are mainly neuromodulators which appear in the control of the respiratory rthym. In this review, pre-Bo tzinğer Complex, main neuromodulator pathways which participate activation and inhibition of inspiratory neurons are handled
