COCHLEATES AND COCHLEATS’ EFFECTIVNESS IN TREATMENT

Cochleates are new drug delivery systems in a cylindrical structure. Several studies have reported that a wide variety of drugs can be encapsulated in cochleates and these systems may be suitable for improving low bioavailability, providing stabilization of biopharmaceutical molecules and oral usage. This review focuses on that structure, preparations, advantages and therapeutic potentials of cochleates which are new drug delivery systems that serves to increase the effectiveness of the treatment.
