Monete provenienti dal Monte Nif (Olympos) in Ionia

Edition of 39 coins found and collected by Durmuş Sulu who works as forester on Nif Mount. These coins were donated by him to the İzmir Archeology Museum in 2000. The collection consist of 24 hellenistic, 2 roman provincial 2 late roman, 3 byzantine coins, except 8 undefined coins because of their poor conditions. Comparing the coins collected by Durmuş Sulu from the north of the mountain with the finds of Karamattepe, Dağkızılca, Ballıcaoluk and Başpınar which are situated on south of the mountain during the Nif Mount Excavations and those of Sardeis excavations gives us possibility to see and to understand the coin circulation at the mountain.
