Yaşlı hastada nazal septal hemanjiom: Olgu sunumu
Elderly patient with nasal septal hemangioma : Case report
Nasal septal hemangiomas are rare vascular tumors. Nasal septal hemangiomas are found most often arising from vascular anastomoses in the anterior nasal septum. In this report, we present a 63 year-old male who admitted to our clinic with epistaxis and nasal obstruction. His physical examination and paranasal computed tomography were re- vealed a hemorragic mass on the right nasal septum middle and postero-superior area. The mass was totally exci- sed with endoscopic surgery under general anesthesia. Hystopathologic examination was revealed ‘lobular capillary hemangioma’. We discuss patients’ findings, pathology and treatment with a review of the literatüre. In conclusion, symptomatic hemangiomas should be excised totally in elderly patient. Although hemangiomas are seen more in Litt- le area, it should be remembered for the mass originating from the posterior-superior nasal septum.
