Schumpeter’in kapitalizm analizi üzerine yöntemsel ve teorik bir değerlendirme

Çalışma hayatı boyunca son derece üretken bir bilim insanı olan Schumpeter, gerek kapitalizmin işleyişi ve evrimi ile ilişkili gerekse iktisadi analizin yöntemi ile ilgili çok sayıda önemli eser ortaya koymuştur. Schumpeter’in odaklandığı konular, esin kaynakları ve buna bağlı olarak benimsediği yöntemsel anlayış zaman içinde önemli ölçüde değişmiştir. Bu durum zaman zaman Schumpeter’in tutarsız ve değişken bir düşünce yapısına sahip bir iktisatçı olarak nitelendirilmesine neden olsa da Schumpeter’in çalışmaları bir bütünsellik içinde değerlendirildiğinde ortaya koyduğu teorik ve yöntemsel anlayışının bir bütün olduğu görülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Schumpeter’in kapitalizm analizini teorik ve yöntemsel açıdan incelemek ve Schumpeter’in kapitalizm analizi ile savunduğu yöntemsel anlayış arasında güçlü ve tutarlı bir ilişki olduğunu ortaya koymaktır. Bu çerçevede, çalışmada Schumpeter’in yöntem anlayışı ile ortaya koyduğu kapitalizm analizi arasında güçlü bir ilişki bulunduğu ve bu nedenle Schumpeter’in iktisadi analizini siyasal ve toplumsal analizinden yöntemsel anlayışını da teorik analizinden ayırabilmenin mümkün olmadığı düşüncesi savunulacaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bu çalışma iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Schumpeter’in benimsediği yöntemsel yaklaşımın temel özellikleri ortaya konacak, ikinci bölümde Schumpeter’in kapitalizmin işleyişi ve evrimi ile ilgili düşüncelerine yer verilecektir. Çalışma Schumpeter’in yöntem anlayışı ile kapitalizm incelemesi arasındaki ilişkinin tartışılmasıyla son bulacaktır.

A methodological and theoretical evaluation on Schumpeter's analysis of capitalism

A highly productive economist throughout his working life, Schumpeter has produced many important works both on the functioning and evolution of capitalism and on the method of economic analysis. The subjects that Schumpeter focused on, his sources of inspiration, and accordingly, the methodological understanding he adopted changed significantly over time. Although this situation sometimes causes Schumpeter to be characterized as an economist with an inconsistent and dynamic mindset, when Schumpeter's studies are evaluated holistically, it is seen that his theoretical and methodological understanding is a whole. This study aims examine Schumpeter's analysis of capitalism from a theoretical and methodological point of view and to reveal that there is a strong and consistent relationship between Schumpeter's analysis of capitalism and the methodological understanding he advocates. It will be argued that there is a strong relationship between Schumpeter's methodological understanding and her analysis of capitalism, and therefore it is not possible to separate Schumpeter's methodological understanding from her theoretical analysis. For this purpose, this study consists of two parts. In the first part, the main features of the methodological approach adopted by Schumpeter will be revealed, in the second part, Schumpeter's thoughts on the functioning and evolution of capitalism will be given. The study will end with a discussion of the relationship between Schumpeter's understanding of the method and his analysis of capitalism.
