Fadwa Touqan and Mahmud Darwish's poems for resistance

At the beginning of the 19th century, in the lands of Pales- tine and with the support of the occupying forces, there was an initia- tive to build a Zionist state. Especially, after the defeat in June 1967, alarge part of the Palestinian and other Arab lands were occupied andthe poets of the time decided to fight with their pens to get back theirlands thinking that they could not live with that tragedy. This studyfocuses on two poets of Palestinian Resistance, Mahmud Darwish andFadwa Touqan, examining how they used their pens and what themesthey had to fight against this occupation. This study also deals with ontheir strategies to resist the occupation, to keep people’s morale high,to maintain resolution of the people, and to threat the enemy
