Proverbs have a great importance and an evident influenceover language, literature, history and culture. It is known by now thatthere are some proverbs that are common among different people andnations like the Arabs and the Turkish. This research aims at studyingproverbs that are shared between Arabic and Turkish languages, howthey are similar, the differences between them, the corresponding rela- tionship between them and how they are influenced by the holy Quranand the Hadith. Within this context we pointed at the Arab cities,Arabic proverbs and expressions used in Turkish proverbs in additionto the Turkish proverbs and expressions used in Arabic.
