“Üç Pencere”, Kıbrıs Türk edebiyatının güçlü kalemi Osman Güvenir’in belge nitelikli bir romanıdır. Eser bir Kıbrıs Türk gencinin siyasî, sosyal ve kültürel durumunu gözler önüne sererken, 1955-1974 arasında Kıbrıs’ta yaşananlara temas eder. “Üç Pencere” is a documentary novel by Osman Güvenir, the powerful writer of the Turkish Cypriot literature. The novel touches on the events in Cyprus between the years 1955-1974 while portraying the political, social and cultural status of a Turkish Cypriot youngster. The novel depicts the protagonist's life in Turkey and London as well as in Cyprus. Thus, the writer opens three windows in three different locations to expose the novel's storyline. As a realistic writer, Osman Güven successfully describes the life of Özkan Adakan, the novel's protagonist, in “Üç Pencere”. The war and the hostilities in Cyprus, migrations, the unrest, hopelessness, the political and social atmosphere in Turkey, the degenerating lives of the Turkish Cypriots who migrate to London and the great romance Özkan Adakan has had are depicted in complete reality. In other words, this is Özkan Adakan's biography, which abounds in vigorous internal and external conflicts.
