Otomatik fırçaların ineklerin davranışları ve süt verimine etkileri

Otomatik fırçaların sağmal ineklerin davranışları ve süt verimi üzerine etkilerini araştırmak amacıyla yürütülen bu çalışmada toplam 30 baş inek kullanılmıştır. Tümü 1. laktasyonda olan inekler süt verimi ve laktasyondaki gün sayısına bakılarak iki gruba ayrılmış ve gruplardan birine otomatik fırçadan yararlanma olanağı tanınmıştır. 4 hafta boyunca sürdürülen çalışmada her hafta salı günü sabah sağımında süt verimleri ölçülmüş, beden kondisyonları ve kirlenme dereceleri puanlanmış, 09:00-12:00 saatleri arasında kaşınma ve agonistik davranışlar izlenmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizi sonucunda, fırçadan yararlanma olanağı olan ineklerin diğerlerine kıyasla daha temiz oldukları (P < 0,01) ve daha sıkça kaşındıkları (P < 0,01) saptanmıştır. Süt verimi, beden kondisyonu ve agonistik davranış bakımından ise iki grup arasında istatistiksel önemde bir farklılık olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır.

Effects of automatic cow brushes on behavior and milk yield of dairy cows

The objective of this experiment was to investigate the effects of an automatic brush on behavior and milk yield of dairy cows. In the study, 30 first parity dairy cows were assigned to one of the two groups for four weeks, in the absence of a brush (control) or in the presence of an automatic brush (experimental). The groups were balanced according to milk yield and days in milk at the beginning of the experiment. Individual milk yields, body condition scores and hygienic scores were recorded on Tuesday mornings and grooming and agonistic behaviors were monitored between 09:00 and 12:00 a.m. The results showed that cows, which were provided with the brush, were cleaner (P<0.01) and frequently scratched (P<0.01) in comparison with the control group. There were no significant differences between two groups in terms of milk yield, body condition and agonistic behavior.
