ANKARA DOLAYINDA GEÇ PERM‹YEN UYUMSUZLU⁄U VE TEMEL KAYAÇLARDA YEN‹ YAfi BULGULARI, ANKARA, TÜRK‹YE

Gölbaşı (Ankara) güneybatısında birbiri ile tektonik ilişkili iki farklı istif yer alır. Yapısalolarak altta yer alan düşük dereceli metamorfik istif fillat, metabazit, kristalize kireçtaşı,şist ve kuvars porfir damarları ile temsil edilir. Üstte ise Erken Karbonifer-Geç Permiyenyaşlı neritik ve pelajik karbonatlar ile bunlar üzerinde uyumsuzlukla yer alan GeçPermiyen yaşlı kırıntılı ve karbonatlar vardır. Yapısal olarak üstte yer alan neritikkarbonatlardan alınan örneklerde Erken Karbonifer (Vizeyen-Serpuhoviyen) ile OrtaKarbonifer (Başkiriyen-Moskoviyen) yaşı saptanmıştır. Sığ fasiyesteki bu karbonatlar OrtaKarbonifer-Permiyen yaşta radyolaryalı pelajik çökellerle üzerlenir. En üstteki neritikkarbonatlardan elde edilen fosiller ile de Kubergandiyen-Murgabiyen yaşı saptanmıştır. BuPermo-Karbonifer istifi üzerinde kırıntılı ve karbonatlardan oluşan bir istif uyumsuzluklayer alır. Tabanda yer alan çakıltaşları ve kumtaşları bol kuvars, karbonat taneli ve daha azoranda metamorfik kayaç parçaları içerir ve üstte doğru orta kalın tabakalı dolomitikkireçtaşı ve kireçtaşlarına geçer. Sığ denizel ortamda çökelen bu karbonatlardaMurgabiyen-Doraşamiyen yaşı saptanmıştır. Geç Paleozoyik yaşlı karbonat temelin ErkenOrta Karbonifer'de neritik, Orta Karbonifer-Permiyen'de pelajik, KubergandiyenMurgabiyen'de yine neritik ortamda çökeldiği, bir deformasyon döneminden sonrakuzeydeki Variskan temele eklemlendiği ve Geç Permiyen transgresyonu ile de yeni birkarbonat çökeliminin başladığı ve sonuçta Üst Karakaya Kompleksi içinde yer alan egzotikblokların bir bölümünün bu temelden türediği önerilmiştir

LATE PERMIAN UNCONFORMITY AROUND ANKARA AND NEW AGE DATA ON THE BASEMENT ROCKS, ANKARA, TURKEY

At southwest of Gölbaşı (Ankara) there are two different sequences in tectonic contact. Theone at the bottom with low-degree metamorphism is represented by phyllite, metabasite,crystallized limestone, schist and quartz porphyry veins. Above them are earlyCarboniferous-late Permian neritic and pelagic carbonates which are unconformablyoverlain by late Permian clastics and carbonates. Samples collected from neriticcarbonates yielded early Carboniferous (Visian-Serpuhovian) to middle Carboniferous(Bashkirian- Moskovian) ages. These carbonates of shallow facies character are overlainby radiolarite-bearing pelagic deposits of middle Carboniferous-Permian age. Fossilsfrom the upper most neritic carbonates gave Kubergandian-Murgabian age. This PermoCarboniferous sequence is unconformably overlain by a sequence consisting of clasticsand carbonates. Basal conglomerates and sandstones contain abundant quartz and feweramounts of carbonated-cemented metamorphic rock fragments and they change tomedium-thick bedded dolomitic limestone and limestones to the top. The age of these carbonates of shallow marine character is found Murgabian-Dorashamian. It is suggested that late Paleozoic carbonate basement was deposited in a neritic environment during early-middle Carboniferous, in a pelagic environment during middle CarboniferousPermian and again in a neritic environment during Kubergandian-Murgabian. Following a deformation stage, it was accreted onto the Variscan basement at north and carbonate deposition took place as a result of late Permian transgression and finally some of exotic blocks within the upper Karakaya Complex were derived from this basement.
