In this article, by explaining the connections between science and technology, technology's need for philosophy is tried to be given. One of the characteristics of philosophy is its asking questions on every subject and giving answers to these questions that do not necessarily agree with each other. Another feature is its presentation of a metaphysical world such as an ethical world, a social world or a world of values, which lies outside of the subject matter of science and which we can not perceive with our sense organs. Here at this point, a very important relationship between technology and philosophy is to be discussed depending on some features of philosophy indicated in the text. The analysis of the term "technology" points out, from another perspective, how much philosophy and technology should be integrated; because technology has the ability to change our social life and consequently to change the cultural structure. The cultural structure that directs our social life, our individual behaviour and our preferences determines the background concerning technology; because technology, in the end, is a preference and the realization of technological development in a society is again determined by culture. Philosophy has a very significant place in making this relationship comprehensible and in forming the necessary cultural atmosphere.
