Cicero Tanrı-Tanımaz mı? de Natura Deorum'dan Bir Çözümleme

Bu incelemede, Cicero'nun Epikurosçu, Stoacı ve Academiacı okulların Antik-çağın tanrı kavrayışı üzerine görüşlerini anlattığı De Natura Deorum kitabında yazarın konuyla ilgili kendi kişisel yaklaşımının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. De Natura Deorum üzerine sonradan yapılan yorumlardan yükselen, acaba Cicero tanrı-tammaz mıydı, tanrılar konusunda Stoacı öğretiyi doğruya daha yakın bulduğu açıklamasında ne kadar samimiydi sorularına yazarın kendi sözleri incelenerek cevaplar aranmıştır.

Was Cicero an Atheist? an Analysis from de Natura Deorum

In this analysis, the aim is to define Cicero's personal attitude about gods in his book De Natura Deorum in which he explains the conception of god in ancient times according to the views of Epicurean, Stoic and Academic Schools. The answers to the questions which arose from the afterwards interpretations of De Natura Deorum, namely whether Cicero was an atheist, how sincere he was in his statement that he finds the Stoic doctrine regarding gods closer to the truth, were investigated by examining the writer's own words.
