Bu çalışmada Aristoteles'in pseudo metinleri arasında yer alan ve araştırmacılarca MÖ. 1.yy. ile MS. 1.yy. arasında bir tarihte yazıldığı düşünülen, Meziyetler ve Zaaflar Üzerine adlı metnin Yunancadan Türkçeye çevirisi yapılacaktır. Araştırmacılarca Peripatetik okulun bir temsilcisi tarafından yazıldığı düşünülen bu eserin, Platon'un ahlak felsefesi ile Aristoteles'inkini uzlaştırmaya çalışan bir çabayla kaleme alındığı düşünülmektedir. Eserde ruh; akla, heyecanlara ve iştihalara dayanan kısımlar olmak üzere üçe ayrılır. Daha sonra bölümlere ayrılan ruha uygun düşen meziyetler, tüm ruha uygun düşen meziyetler ve bu meziyetlerin zıddı olan zaaflar eserde tanımlanırlar. Eserde ayrıca ele alınan meziyet ve zaaflara özgü davranış ve duygular tanıtılarak son kısmında Platon'un da Devlet'inde ele aldığı ruh ve devlet arasındaki ilişkiye değinilir.

In this study, Greek to Turkish translation of the text On Virtues and Vices will be made, which is among the pseudo texts of Aristotle and thought to be written between the 1st centuries BC and AD by the researchers. The work, that is thought to be written by a member of the peripatetic school, tries to reconcile the moral philosophies of Plato and Aristotle. In the work, the spirit is divided into three parts such as the reason, spirits and appetites. Virtues corresponding to each part, the virtues corresponding to the whole spirit and the vices on contrary to each virtue are defined. Moreover, the behaviours and feelings regarding the virtues and vices defined are exposed and at the conclusion of the work as a retrospect to Plato's legacy the relationship between the spirit and the state is referred
