This study moves from the idea that the images do not get the academic respectthey deserve in a world surrounded by a myriad of images. Unfortunately, in thehegemonic logocentric meaning context, the images are mostly seen as objects ofanalysis or posited in the text as supporting and decorating data; and they arehardly given any academic credit beyond that. This study, focusing on somepeculiar photographic images in order to trace the struggle between discourseand reality in these images, is theoretically planned as an attempt to think aboutand through the images.
