Teknoloji ruhunun mutlaklaştırılması durumunda yaşam itibarsız hale gelmekte, Marcel’in ifadesiyle saygınlığını, kutsallığını yitirmektedir. İnsandaki kutsallık ne denli inkar edilirse, o, o denli bir makine gibi kullanılacak ve makine muamelesi görecektir. İnsanın bir nesneye, makineye, bir üretim birimine indirgenmesi XX. y.y.’ın köleliği, teknokratik düzenin köleliğidir.

Technology and Man

In submitting to make the spirit of technology absolute, life is degraded, or to use Marcel’s term desacralized. The more the concept of sacredness is denied in man the more he will be manifulated and treated as a machine. A reduction of man to an object, a machine, a unit of production is the slavery of the twentieth century; a slavery of the technocratic order.
