KARADENİZ SULARINDA FRANSIZ PAQUET VAPUR KUMPANYASI (1878-1914)

Karadeniz'in uluslararası ticarete açılması ve Kırım Savaşı'yla Ruslara karşı elde edilen üstünlük başta Fransa ve İngiltere olmak üzere birçok Avrupalı devletin ilgisini Karadeniz liman kentleri üzerine yoğunlaştırdı. Özellikle Fransa'nın Kuzey Batı Afrika limanlarına yayılma süreciyle birlikte ortaya çıkan irili-ufaklı birçok özel vapur nakliyat şirketi zamanla uluslararası büyük vapur kumpanyalarına dönüşerek Fransa'nın deniz aşırı ülkelerdeki kolları ve temsilcileri haline geldiler. Bunlardan biri olan Paquet Vapur Kumpanyası, Fransa ile Karadeniz liman kentleri arasında doğrudan bağlantı kurarak Fransız sermayesinin bölgeye yayılmasında ve gelişmesinde önemli rol oynadı. Bu bağlamda çalışma Paquet Kumpanyası'nın Karadeniz liman kentlerindeki faaliyetlerini incelemeyi amaçlamıştır.

FRENCH PAQUET STEAMSHIP COMPANY IN THE BLACK SEA WATERS (1878-1914)

The opening of Black Sea to the international trade and the superiority over the Russia after the Crimean war brought Black Sea Ports into the focus of many European states, being in the first place France and England. Especially, the large and small private marine transport companies that emerged with the expansion process of France to the North-West African ports were transformed into big Steamship companies and became the branches and representtaives of France in overseas countries. One of these was French Paquet Steamship company that established a connection between the France and Black Sea ports directly and played an important role in the expansion and development of French capital. This study aimed at investigating the activities of French Paquet Steamship company in the Black Sea ports.
