Tekrarlayan rabdomiyoliz olgusu gözlenen iki atta, laktat dehidrogenaz

The diagnostic value of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and LDH isoenzymes in recurrent extertional rhabdomyolysis in two horses

Recurrent exertional rhabdomyolysis is an important problem of race horses all over the world. This case report demonstrates the diagnostic value of LDH and 4. and 5. LDH isoenzymes in recurrent exertional rhabdomyolysis in two horses. As the activity of these enzymes peaks in 24 hours and remains stabil for a considerable period, determination of their levels may be beneficial in the diagnosis of subclinical and clinical rhabdomyolysis episodes.
