Yeni doğan kuzuların kolostrum ve inek sütüyle beslenmesinin serum bakır ve çinko düzeylerine etkisi

Yeni doğan kuzuları suni beslemenin serum bakır (Cu) ve çinko (Zn) düzeylerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılan bu çalışmada, 10 baş Sakız ırkı koyun ve bu koyunlardan elde edilen toplam 20 baş ikiz Sakız kuzu kullanılmıştır. Kuzular 10 başlık iki eşit gruba ayrılmışlardır. Kuzuların doğumuyla beraber ikiz doğan yavrulardan bir tanesi annesinin yanında bırakılmış (Grup 1), diğeri (Grup 2) ise annesini emmeden ayrılarak 2 hafta süreyle sterilize inek sütüyle beslenmişlerdir. Tüm kuzulardan ve annelerden doğumdan sonraki 2. haftada V. jugularisten serum tüplerine kan örnekleri toplanmıştır. Serum örneklerinde Cu ve Zn düzeyleri Atomik Absorbsiyon Spektrofotometresi (AAS) kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Annelerin Cudüzeyleri kolostrum alan kuzulardan anlamlı düzeyde yüksek bulunmuştur (p

Effect of feeding newborn lambs with colostrum and sterilised cow' s milk on serum copper and zinc concentrations

The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of artificial rearing on serum copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) concentrations of newborn lambs. In this study, 20 twins Chios lambs and 10 Chios ewes were used. Lambs were divided into two groups. Each group included 10 lambs. After the parturition, one lamb of the twins was stayed with ewe (Group 1) and the other (Group 2) was removed from ewes immediately and they were fed sterilised cow's milk until 2 weeks of age. Blood samples were collected from whole lambs and ewes via jugular venipuncture into serum tubes at the second week after birth. The concentrations of Cu and Zn in serum were determined by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Cu concentrations of ewes were found significantly higher than Cu concentrations of lambs fed colostrum-breast milk (p
