HAYVANSAL KAYNAKLI GIDALARDAN İZOLE EDİLEN CAMPYLOBACTER TÜRLERİNDE ANTİBİYOTİK DİRENCİ

Tüm dünyada Campylobacter türlerinin meydana getirdiği hastalıklar hayvan yetiştiriciliği ve halk sağlığı açısından önemli bir sorun teşkil etmektedir. Campylobacter türleri dünya çapında gıda kaynaklı hastalıkların en yaygın etkenidir. İnsanlar en çok kontamine gıdaları yiyerek infekte olurlar. Antimikrobiyal tedavi sadece daha şiddetli hastalığı olan hastalarda ve bağışıklığı zayıf olan hastalarda gereklidir. Bu infeksiyonları tedavi etmek için kullanılan en yaygın antimikrobiyal ajanlar makrolidler ve florokinolonlardır. Tetrasiklin ise klinik tedavide alternatif bir seçenek olarak önerilmiş ancak pratikte çok sık kullanılmamaktadır. Son yıllarda florokinolon, makrolid, aminoglikozid ve beta-laktamlar gibi diğer antimikrobiyallere karşı direnç bildirilmektedir. Prevalansları ve spesifik adaptasyonları göz önüne alındığında, Campylobacter türlerindeki antibiyotik direnci insan sağlığı için önemli bir tehdit oluşturmaktadır. Bu derlemede, hastalıkların tedavisinde yararlı olan antimikrobiyal ajanlara karşı ortaya çıkan direnç modelleri sunulmaktadır.
