SOSYAL SERMAYE VE BÖLGESEL KALKINMA İLİŞKİSİ (MAX WEBER’İN PERSPEKTİFİNDEN BİR DEĞERLENDİRME)

Son dönemlerde gündemde önemli bir yer tutan sosyal sermaye sosyal kalkınmanın sağlanmasında önemli bir araç olduğu sıklıkla gündeme getirilmektedir. Özellikle geri bölgelerin kalkınmasında sosyal sermayeden yararlanmak mümkündür. Sosyal sermayenin bölgesel kalkınmaya olan önemini Max Weber?in çalışmalarında bile görmek mümkündür. Weber her ne kadar sosyal sermaye kavramını doğrudan kullanmasa da bu anlama gelecek düşünceler üretmiştir. Weber, geri kalmış bölgelerdeki insanlar arasında işbirliğinin güçlendirilmesi yoluyla kalkınmaya önemli katkılar sağlayacağını çeşitli şekillerde ifade etmiştir.

Social capital which looms large recently is brought to the agenda as an important mean in eliciting social development. It is possible to benefiit from social capital in development of undeveloped regions. It is also possible to see the importance of social capital to regional development in Max Weber's studies. However Weber didn't used the concept of social capital directly but produce ideas paralel to the meaning of it. Weber mentioned the contribution of cooperation between people in undeveloped regions to development in various ways.
