DETERMINING THE EMPLOYEE TO RECEIVE SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT TRAINING WITH INTEGRATED SWARA AND GRA METHODS

Six Sigma is a kind of organization system that provides companies to operate over today’s quality management standards and create high level added value. Perfect application and management of this system is possible at the companies, if there is total support of top management and there are wholeheartedly believing employees in this system. It is named black-belt employee who work for executing and leading position in the system. It is also necessary for the employees to perform certain criteria who would be selected for the black belts training. In this study, it is aimed to determine the employees to receive six sigma black belt training using SWARA-Grey relational analysis (GRA) and to provide a model for minimizing expenses of the company for that training. That application is implemented at a manufacturing company operating in Izmir and applying Six Sigma to all their process. Primarily, black belt selection criteria were determined by the top management at the company and importance level belongs to that criteria were calculated by SWARA method. Lastly, the selection of employees to receive black belt training from the employees who have green belt certificate was determined with GRA.
