Ergenin Beş Faktör Kişilik Özellikleri ile Sosyal Yetkinlik, Bilişsel Hatalar ve Anne Baba Beş Faktör Kişilik Özellikleri İlişkisi

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ergenlerin beş faktör kişilik özellikleri ile sosyal yetkinlik beklentisi, bilişsel hatalar ve anne baba beş faktör kişilik özelliği arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmaya 331 ergen ve onların anne (331) ve babaları (331) olmak üzere toplam 993 kişi katılmıştır. Araştırmada, Beş Faktör Kişilik Envanteri, Sosyal Yetkinlik Beklentisi Ölçeği ve Bilişsel Hatalar Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ergenler Beş Faktör Kişilik Envanterini, Sosyal Yetkinlik Beklentisi Ölçeğini, Bilişsel Hatalar Ölçeğini yanıtlamışlardır. Anne ve babalar Beş Faktör Kişilik Envanterini yanıtlamışlardır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre anne babanın dışadönüklük, yumuşakbaşlılık, özdenetim ve duygusal tutarsızlık kişilik özellikleri yükseldikçe, ergenin bu kişilik özellikleri de yükselmektedir. Ergenin dışadönüklük, yumuşakbaşlılık, özdenetim ve gelişime açıklık düzeyleri arttıkça ergenlerin sosyal yetkinlik puanları ortalamalarının da arttığı, duygusal tutarsızlık düzeyi arttığında ise sosyal yetkinlik puanları ortalamalarının düştüğü gözlenmiştir. Ergenin özdenetim özelliği ile seçici soyutlama ve aşırı genelleme bilişsel hataları ve duygusal tutarsızlık özelliği ile felaketleştirme, seçici soyutlama, kişiselleştirme ve aşırı genelleme hataları arasında da anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur.

The Relationship Between Five Personality Traits of Adolescent and Social Self-Efficacy, Cognitive Errors and Five Personality Traits of Parents

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the five personality traits of adolescent and social self-efficacy, cognitive errors, cognitive flexibility and five personality of parents. A total of 993 people including 331 adolescents and their mothers (n=331) and their father (n=331) participated in the research. In the study, the Five Factor Personality Inventory, Social Self Efficacy Scale and Cognitive Errors Questionnaire were used. Adolescents answered questions in the Five Factor Personality Inventory, Social Self Efficacy Scale and, the Cognitive Errors Questionnaire. Parents answered the Five Factor Personality Inventory as well. According to findings, as parents' extraversion, peacefulness, self-control and emotional instability increase so do same personality characteristics of adolescents. When adolescent' extraversion, peacefulness, self-control and openness levels increase, their social self-efficacy in the average scores also increases. In addition, it has been observed that when levels of emotional instability increases in adolescents, a decrease occurs in their average social self-efficacy scores.
