An application on learning curves with interruptions

Human performance of activities typically shows improvement when the activities are done on a repetitive basis : the time required to perform a task decreases with increasing repetitions. Learning curves summarize this phenomenon. A learning curve, in its basic form, is simply a line displaying the relationship between unit production time and the number of consecutive units of production. In this paper, especially learning curves with more than one slope are considered and investigated. In addition a case study is given for this situation.
