Böbreğin toplayıcı kanal kanseri: Literatürün klinikopatolojik bulgularımızla gözden geçirilmesi

Böbreğin Toplayıcı Kanal Karsinomu (TKK) distal toplayıcı kanallardan köken alan ender bir böbrek hücreli kanser histolojik alt tipidir, lokal agresif ve uzak yayılım ile ilişkilidir. Hastalar genellikle ileri evrede tanı alırlar, cerrahi tedavi ve veya kemo/immünoterapi kür sağlamaya yeterli değildir. TKKli hastaların sağkalım süresi sıklıkla kısadır. Dünya genelinde az sayıda olgu mevcuttur ve kabul edilmiş bir tedavi protokolü mevcut değildir. Klinik semptomlar ve radyolojik bulgular diğer histolojik alt tiplerle benzerdir. Collecting duct carcinoma of the kidney: Review of the literature with our clinicopathological findings

Collecting duct carcinoma (CDC) is a rare histological type of renal cell carcinoma, which originates from the distal collecting ducts and is associated with aggressive regional and distant spread. Patients are generally diagnosed with advanced disease and the standard treatment of surgery with or without immuno/chemotherapy is not enough to effect a cure. Patients with CDC usually have a short survival time. Case reports of CDC are very rare, so there is no generally accepted therapy protocol. The clinical symptoms and radiologic findings are similar for all subtypes of renal cell carcinoma. (Gazi Med J 2012; 23: 25-8)
