The Effects of the Second World War on Wheat Production in Turkey: Cobweb Theorem
In World War II, wheat was one of the most important basic consumption items. The most importantfactor causing this situation was the natural disasters occurring in 1940-41. The grain production hadconstituted the most important export resources in Turkey. For this reason, many decisions about theproduction and the consumption of wheat were taken to prevent the increase in the bread price. Despitethese decisions, supply-demand distributions had abnormally continued for many years. This case, inthis study, was analyzed by using cobweb theory.
