Osmanlının Son Dönemlerinde Marunilerin Lübnan'da Bağımsız Bir Hiristiyan Devleti Kurma Girişimlerinin Fikri Temelleri

Biz bu makalede, XIX. yüzyılda ve XX. yüzyılın başlarında Marunilerin Lübnan'da bağımsız bir Hıristiyan devleti kurma girişimlerinin tarihsel arka planını incelemeye çalışacağız. Modern ulus kavramı, Orta Doğuda XIX. yüzyılda bir sömürge ürünü olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu kavramdan hareketle Marunilerde etnik kimlik bilinci gelişmiş ve 1920'lere gelindiğinde Avrupalı güçlerin özellikle de Fransa'nın himayesinde Lübnan'da bağımsız bir Hıristiyan devleti kurulması yönünde gayret sarf etmişlerdir. Bu amaçla da I. Dünya Savaşı'ndan sonra Avrupalı güçler özellikle de Fransa nezdinde çok değişik lobi faaliyetleri yürütmüşlerdir.

The Endeavour of the Maronites to Set up an Independents Christian State inLebanon in the Late Period of the Ottoman Empire

İn this article, We'll try to study the historical back plan of the Maronite's efforts at the beginning of the 19th and 20th centuries to establish and indipendent separate Christian state in Lebanon. The modern nation notion in the Middle East appeared as a colony product in the 19th century. With this notion the ethnic identity notion among the Maronites has developed and in the 1920's, they tried to found an indipendent Christian state under the protection of european countries and especially France. With this intention after the first world war the european continued different lobby activities especially by the help of France.
