Kayseri bölgesindeki sığırlarda bovine herpesvirus tip 1 (BHV-1) enfeksiyonunun seroprevalansı

Bu çalışmada, Kayseri iline bağlı çeşitli ilçelerde halk elinde bulunan sığırlardan 552 adet kan serumu örneği alındı. Serum örnekleri BHV-1 antikorları yönünden virus nötralizasyon tekniği ile test edildi. Test edilen 552 adet serum örneğinin 285 adedi (%51.63) BHV-1’e karşı pozitif olarak belirlendi ve antikor titrelerinin 1/2-1/64 arasında değişen değerlerde olduğu tespit edildi. Yerleşim yerlerine göre BHV-1 enfeksiyonu seroprevalansı en yüksek Tomarza’da (%80) olduğu, bunu Felahiye-Özvatan (%71.11) ve Akışla (%54.76) ilçelerinin izlediği görüldü. Sonuç olarak bu çalışma, Kayseri bölgesindeki sığırlarda BHV-1 enfeksiyonun yaygın olduğunu göstermektedir.

The seroprevalance of bovine herpes virus type 1 (BHV 1) ınfection in cattle in Kayseri region

In this study, 552 serum samples collected from cattle which were housed in private herds located in different regions of Kayseri. Serum samples were tested for presence of antibodies against BHV- 1 using the virus neutralization technique. Out of 552 serum samples tested, 285 (51,63%) were detected as positive against to BHV-1 and antibody titres were found to be varied between 1/2- 1/64. Among the controlled regions, the highest seroprevalance of BHV-1 infection was found in Tomarza (80%) followed by Felahiye-Özvatan (71,11%) and Akkışla (54,76%) districts. As a result the presence of BHV-1 infections in cattle was concerned to be common in Kayseri region.
