Çörek Otu Yağının Ratlarda Doksorubisin Kaynaklı Kardiyotoksisite Üzerindeki Etkilerinin Belirlenmesi

Çalışma, ratlarda doksorubisin (DOX) kardiyotoksisitesi üzerine çörek otu yağının etkilerinin ortayakonulması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada ratlar 4 gruba ayrılmıştır: 1. Grup: Kontrol grubu, 2.Grup: Çörek otu yağı uygulanan grup (2 mL/kg/gün gavaj, 7 gün), 3. Grup: DOX uygulanan grup(20 mg/kg vücut ağırlığı, i.p. tek doz) ve 4. Grup: DOX (20 mg/kg vücut ağırlığı, i.p. tek doz) + çörekotu yağı (2 mL/kg/gün gavaj, 7 gün) uygulanan gruptur. Çörek otu yağı uygulamasına DOXuygulamasından 2 gün önce başlanmış ve 7 gün süre ile devam edilmiştir. Çalışma sonunda kalpdokusunda malondialdehid (MDA), redükte glutatyon (GSH) düzeyleri ile katalaz (KAT), glutatyonperoksidaz (GSH-Px), süperoksit dismutaz (SOD) ve glutatyon-S-transferaz (GST) gibi antioksidanenzimlerin aktiviteleri belirlenmiştir. Determination of Effects of Nigella Sativa Oil on Doxorubicin-Induced Cardiotoxicity in Rats

This study was carried out to determine the effects of nigella sativa oil on the doxorubicin (DOX) cardiotoxicity in rats. In the study, rats were divided into 4 groups: Group 1: Control group, Group 2: Nigella sativa oil-treated group (2 mL/kg/day gavage, 7 days), Group 3: DOX-treated group (20 mg/kg body weight, single dose, i.p.), and Group 4: DOX (20 mg/kg body weight, single dose, i.p.) + nigella sativa oil (2 mL/kg/day gavage, 7 days) treated group. Nigella sativa application was started 2 days before DOX application and continued for 7 days. At the end of the study, malondialdehyde (MDA), reduced-glutathione (GSH) levels, and antioxidant enzymes activities such as catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and glutathione-S-transferase (GST) were determined.
