Huninin E- ve H-düzlemi genişlemesi yüzünden olan kazanç düşme faktörleri için, yeni ve çok basit formüller sunulmuş ve bu formüller optimum kazançlı piramidal huninin kazancını hesaplamada kullanılmıştır. Bu formüller, yol uzunluk hata yaklaşıklığı yapılmadan elde edilen kesin kazanç düşme faktör ifadelerinden bulunmuştur. Optimum kazançlı piramidal hunilerin, bir başka yerde sunulan güvenilir ve doğru bir metot ile tasarımlan da yapılmıştır. Bu tasarlanan hunilerin kazançları, hem bu çalışmada önerilen hem de kesin olan formüllerle hesaplanmıştır. Bu makalede elde edilen kazanç sonuçları, literatürde mevcut deneysel sonuçlarla ve kesin formüllerin sonuçları ile çok iyi bir uyumluluk içindedir. Önerilen kazanç düşme faktör formülleri, optimum kazançlı piramidal hunilerin bilgisayar yardımıyla tasarımı ve mikrodalga anten tasarımcıları için faydalıdır.

New, very simple formulas for the gain reduction factors due to the E- and H-plane flare of the horn are presented and used in calculating the gain of the optimum gain pyramidal horn. These formulas are found from the exact gain reduction factor expressions obtained with no path length error approximation. The optimum gain pyramidal horns are also designed by using the reliable and accurate method reported elsewhere. The gains of these designed horns are calculated by using both the proposed and exact formulas. The gain results obtained in this paper are in very good agreement with the results of the exact formulas and the experimental results available in the literature. The proposed gain reduction factor formulas are useful for the microwave antenna designers and the computer aided design (CAD) of optimum gain pyramidal horns.
