Econometric analysis of determinants of happiness economics in Turkey

In this study, an econometric analysis of the determinants of happiness economics in Turkey carried out with ordinal logistic regression model by examining the happiness literature in detail. In the analysis, TURKSTAT Life Satisfaction Survey 2010 data were used. According to the results of the regression model where the level of happiness is determined as the dependent variable, there are statistically significant relationship between income, gender, age, marital status, place of residence and happiness. These results are consistent with the results of studies in the literature. Unlike other studies, statistically significant relationship between happiness and employment, employment status at work and employed sector variables could not be found.
