Küresel ekonomik kriz sürecinde istanbul'un diğer aday finans merkezleri ile karşılaştırmalı analizi

Finans merkezi olmak için çeşitli kriterler bulunmakta ve bunların finans merkezi olmayı hedefleyen ülke veya şehir tarafından karşılanması gerekmektedir. Bu kriterlere ilave olarak, ülkelerin ticari, endüstriyel ve teknolojik alanda sağladıkları gelişmelerin ekonomilerine yansıması ve krizler gibi çeşitli nedenlerle finans merkezleri arasında yer değişmeler yaşanmaktadır. Türkiye de, küresel ekonomik kriz sürecinde yaşanan değişimleri dikkate alarak İstanbul’un öncelikle bölgesel sonrasında ise uluslararası bir finans merkezi olması için çalışmalara başlamıştır. Bu çerçevede, küresel finansal kriz sürecinde İstanbul’un diğer finans merkezleri arasındaki konumu çeşitli kuruluşlar tarafından uluslararası alanda hazırlanan finansal rekabet endeksleri ve diğer çalışmalar kapsamında ele alı narak analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler kapsamında, küresel ekonomik kriz sü recinde İstanbul’un rakiplerine göre finans merkezleri arasındaki konumunda önemli seviyede ilerleme kaydedildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Comparative analysis of ıstanbul with other candidate financial centres during global economic crisis

There are various criteria to become a financial center and these must be per formed by country or city aiming to become financial centers. In addition to the se criteria, shifts among position of financial centers have been lived due to various reasons such as crisis and reflection of improvements provided by countriesin the commercial, industrial and technological fields to their economies. Turkey has also started to work for becoming Istanbul first into regional later an international financial center by taking into considerations the changes which are expe rienced during global economic crisis. In this context, current position of Istanbul among other financial centers was studied as taking on the basis of international financial indexes and in the light of some indicators. At the end of the analysis work, it has been reached to the conclusion that significant progress has been recorded for position of Istanbul among other financial centers compared to its competitors during global economic crisis.
