Doğrudan Yabancı Yatırımlar İstihdamı Etkiliyor mu?: Türkiye Örnekleminde ARDL Sınır Testi Yaklaşımı

Doğrudan Yabancı Yatırımlar (DYY) gittikleri ülkelerin birçok ekonomik parametresini etkilemektedir. Bunların başında da istihdam gelmektedir. Çalışmada, Türkiye örnekleminde DYY’nin istihdam üzerindeki etkisi 1970-2011 dönemi için incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın ampirik bölümünde sınır testi yaklaşımı (ARDL) kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen ampirik bulgular, ülkeye gelen DYY’lerin istihdama etkisinin istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olmadığını göstermiştir. Bunun yanında elde edilen katsayının negatif olması DYY’lerin istihdamı azalttığı yönünde bilgi vermektedir.

Does Foreign Direct Investment Affect Employment in Turkey?: An ARDL Bound Testing Approach

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) affects many economic parameters of the host countries. One of the most important effects is employment. In this study, we would like to investigate the effect of foreign direct investment (FDI) on employment over the period 1970-2011 in Turkey bu using the bound testing (ARDL) approach. The empirical results show that the effect of inward FDI has no statistically significant effect on employment. In addition, the negative sing of FDI shows that FDI affects employment negatively
