The Basıc Problems of Modern Man İn the Philosophy of Gabriel Marcal: The Spirit of Abstraction and Loss of the Ontological Sense

While in recent times technology has brought about it remarkable progress it has also brought forward one of the most crucial questions facing us, namely, "what are we to make of ourselves in the face of the fact that we are gradually being thoroughly manipulated by a technology that we ourselves have devised? It is obvious that G. Marcel is rather apprehensive about the question he arised. He would say it is the problematization of reality that matters and therefore the replacement of the Socratic, "know-thyself' with the technical experts "know-how".
