Şemaya dayalı sözlü matematik problemi çözme stratejisinin görme yetersizliği olan öğrencilerin sözlü problem çözme performanslarına etkisi

Bu çalışmada, şemaya dayalı sözlü matematik problemi çözme stratejisinin görme yetersizliği olan üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin sözlü matematik problemi çözme performansı üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırmaya üç öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmada, sözlü matematik problemi tiplerinden değişim ve karşılaştırma problemleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, tek denekli deneysel modellerden denekler arası çoklu yoklama modeline göre yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, şemaya dayalı sözlü matematik problemi çözme stratejisinin bütün öğrencilerin problem çözme performanslarını artırdığını, bu artışın öğretimin sona ermesinden 12 gün sonra da sürdüğünü göstermiştir. Öğretim sonrasında, bütün öğrencilerin başlama düzeyi ile karşılaştırıldığında daha fazla sayıda karşılaştırma problemini doğru olarak çözdüğü görülmüştür.

The effects of schema based word problem solving strategy on problem solving performance of students with visual impairment

The present study investigated the effectiveness of schema based strategy on the mathematical word problem solving performance in addition and subtraction problems of third and fourth grade students with visual impairment. This study made use of verbal mathematical problems of changing and comparing. A multiple probe design was used with three participating students and results indicated that schema based word problem solving strategies led to an increase in word problem solving performance for all three students which continued to increase for 12 days following up the application. Given the baseline condition for these problems, after the instruction, the percentage of students’ improvement was found to be higher than that of the change problems.
