Dünya'dan Kent hakkı için Kentsel mücadele örnekleri: Hindistan, Dominik Cumhuriyeti, Brezilya, Venezüella ve ABD

Bu makale, Kent Hakkı kavramına teorik yaklaşımları ve farklı pratik uygulamalarını tartışmakta, Dünya örneklerini Türkiye ile birlikte düşünmeye davet etmektedir. Son yıllarda artarak tecrübe edilen kentsel ayaklanma ve devrimleri tartışmaya zemin olarak ortaya koyduktan sonra, Kent Hakkı etrafında yapılan farklı teorik tartışmaları taramaktadır. Devamında, Kent Hakkı mücadelesi bağlamında değerlendirilmesi mümkün, Hindistan, Dominik Cumhuriyeti, Brezilya, Venezüella ve ABD'den 5 farklı örneği teorik tartışmalar ışığında incelenmekte ve Türkiye için kısa çıkarımlarla sonuçlanmaktadır.

Urban Struggles Around the World for “the Right to the City”: India, Dominican Republic, Brasil, Venezuela and USA

This article examines theoretical approaches to and various practical applications of the right to the city (RTTC), and invites the readers to contemplate various case studies around the world comparatively with the Turkish case. The article puts forward contemporary urban revolts and revolutions as a context and reviews various theoretical discussions around the RTTC. It continues to discuss 5 case studies in line with the RTTC struggles from India, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Venezuela and USA, in the light of the theoretical framework and concludes with possible meanings of these cases for the urban social movements in Turkey.
