Yenidoğanda obstetrik Brakial pleksus fizyoterapisi: Olgu sunumu
Physiotherapy of obstetrical Brachial palsy in the newborn: Case report
Brachial plexus injuries include weakness or total paralysis of muscless innervated by the brachial plexus. The most frequent etiologic cause is traction trauma at birth in the newborn period. Physiotherapy programs consisting of positioning of affected extremity and pasive range of motion exercise should be applied at die earliest stage to prevent muscle atrophy, contracture, and limitations of range of motions. At this article a case with obstetrical brachial palsy has been presented for the aim of discussing the effect of the physiotherapy program which starts in the newborn period.
