Süperfisyel temporal arterin post-travmatik psödoanevrizması: Olgu sunumu

Süperfisyel temporal arterin travmatik psödoanevrizması nadir ancak kafa travmalarından sonra geliştiği iyi bilinen bir komplikasyondur. Hastalarımız hastanemize ağrısız, pulsatil, büyümüş kitle ile başvurdu. Her ne kadar, STA psödoanevrizmalarında etiyoloji genellikle künt olsa da, hastaların laserasyonları penetran travmadan kaynaklanmaktaydı. Bu kitleler yaralanmadan yaklaşık 3 hafta ve 8 hafta sonra ortaya çıkmış ve zamanla büyüme göstermişlerdi. Lokal anestezi altında kitleler tamamen çıkarıldı, afferent ve efferent damarlar bağlandı. Hastalar 18 ay ve 12 ay boyunca nüks olmadan izlendi. STA psödoanevrizması STA trasesinde bu tarz bir kitle ile karşılaşıldığında mutlaka akla getirilmelidir ve frontotemporal bölgenin laserasyonları özenli hemostaz yapıldıktan sonra kapatılarak anevrizma gelişimi önlenmelidir.

Post-traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the superficial temporal artery: Case report

Traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the STA is a rare but well-known complication after traumatic head injury. Two patients were presented to our hospital with an enlarged, pulsatile and painless mass. Although trauma etiology in STA pseudoaneurysms is generally blunt type, they had a laceration resulted from penetrating trauma. These tumors have been appeared 3 weeks and 8 weeks after injury and enlarged in the course of time. Under local anesthesia the masses were completely removed with ligation of afferent and efferent vessels. The patients were followed for 18 and 12 months without any evidence of recurrence. Pseudoaneurysm of the STA should always kept in mind when being encountered with a mass over the course of STA and lacerations on fronto-temporal region should be treated with carefull haemostasis before closure to prevent arising of aneurysm formation in future.
