Asymptomatic pulmonary hydatid cyst: A case report
Hydatid cyst disease is one of the major health problem for the people who live in endemic countries. Lungs are the most frequent location in children for hydatid cysts. The diagnosis of an intact or asymptomatic cyst usually is based on suspicion resulting from an unexpected finding on routine chest x-ray. The slowly enlarging hydatid cyst is usually well tolerated. Cough and chest pain are not specific findings for hydatid disease. Here, we discuss a patient that diagnosed as hydatid cyst by chest X-ray during family chest examination because of primary pulmonary tuberculosis of her sister. With this case we want to mention that infections like tuberculosis and hydatid cyst seen in same family and in different members
