The relationship between Heat-shock protein 70, 90 expression and myometrial invasion

Object: Our aim is to investigate to immunohistochemical expression of HSP 70,90 and tenascin in endometrioid adenocarcinoma and to search for the relationship between HSP 70,90 and tenascin expression and histological grade, stage, age and myometrial invasion. Material and method: We analyzed the expression of HSP 70,90 and tenascin by immunohistochemistry in 78 -cases with endometrioid adenocarcinoma and the relationship between HSP 70,90 and tenascin expression and histological grade, stage, age and myometrial invasion. Results: The expression of HSP 70 was observed in 89.7% (70 cases). There was no relationship between HSP70 expression and histological grade, stage and age. But we found positive relationship between HSP 70 expression and myometrial invasion (p<0.05). The expression of HSP90 and tenascin C were observed in 60.5% (48 cases), 34.6% (27 cases) respectively. There was no relationship between HSP90 and tenascin expression and histological grade, stage and myometrial invasion. Conclusion: The expression of HSP 70 in endometrioid adenocarcinoma may be considered as a poor prognostic factor.
